Since September 11th security has gone from a luxury to a necessity.  It is no longer the job of law enforcement or the National Guard to protect citizens when security has been breached.  More and more the private security industry is called upon to provide security at our seaports, federal buildings, airports, dams, etc. 

   Our mission at Universal Security Academy is to provide professional, practical training the guard can utilize in the field.  We teach courses in full compliance with the requirements mandated by the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS). 

   To work as a guard in California you must possess a security guard license.  As long as you are 18 years of age and have no felonies or violent misdemeanors you can obtain a guard card and exposed firearms permit.  The process is simple and fairly painless and will provide you with the knowledge and training required to be a security officer, armed or unarmed.  Once you are licensed we also provide the continuing education training necessary to maintain your licenses.

   We pride ourselves in providing personal service to our students.  We aren’t here to just take your money and send you out into the unknown.  We are with you every step of the way to answer questions, troubleshoot, assist you with job placement, remind you when you are due to re-qualify at the range, or provide advice.
